Algebra 2: You have a Matrices Journal and a Portfolio both due at the end of the term (January 13th), but you should be working on them now. You can easily get both done before we come back from vacation, which will make studying for MidYears easier.

Math Review: No homework.

Geometry: Finish up the perpendicular bisectors packet, to be turned in tomorrow.

Algebra 2: Today we talked about matrices and transformations in the plane. No homework, but we'll have class work tomorrow.

Also, please make sure that you're comfortable using your calculator to do matrices. A tutorial for the TI-83 can be found here. (Please see Ali if you use a different calculator and need help.)

We have a quiz on Friday. For each question, if you work calculator-free, you can earn up to 4 points (out of 4). If you opt to use your calculator, you can earn up to 3 points (out of 4). Make sure that you're thinking ahead about whether or not you'll want/need your calculator, and that you're getting comfortable with using it if needed. You should be bringing your calculator to class. I will not lend any calculators on the quiz day, so come to class prepared!

You should have the word problem formulas memorized (general growth, general decay, compound interest, continuous interest).
