Geometry:
Work on the Volume Problems packet.

Algebra 2:
We have a quiz tomorrow on exponents and logarithms. Work on the review packet to help you prepare. Answers are posted in my classroom. Topics on the quiz are:
  •  (possible revisit of growth/decay word problems)
  • graphing exponential functions
  • solving exponential equations
  • basic logarithms
    • changing between exponential and logarithmic form
    • evaluating basic logs (such as log5(1/125)
    • evaluating basic logs on your calculator (ln 10.4 or log 27.5)

Geometry:
No new homework. If you haven't turned in your 3-d object project, it needs to be in ASAP on Monday.

Algebra 2:
Make sure you're finishing the Log Laws packet, due Monday. You have a quiz on Tuesday, covering:
  • graphing exponential functions
  • solving exponential equations
  • basic logarithms (converting forms, evaluating)

Thursday, April 26, 2012

Geometry:
Remember that your 3-d object project is due tomorrow! Please double-check the rubric to see if you've got everything you need.

Algebra 2:
Today we got a packet on Log Laws. It's due on Monday, and if you're in class tomorrow (not gone on the field trip) then you'll have some time to finish it. Please make sure you know if you owe me anything, and you're working to get caught up.

Wednesday, April 25, 2012

Geometry:
Your 3-d object is due by Friday!

Algebra 2:
Due tomorrow is the worksheet on Exponents and Logarithms. Make sure that you're caught up on any other missing work, and make sure that your Journal is turned in!!

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

Geometry:
No new homework, but please make sure that you've turned in the packet on Volume and Surface Area. Today we started the project on 3-d objects, and it will continue tomorrow and Thursday, to be turned in by Friday.

Algebra 2:
No new homework, but your Journals are due tomorrow. (If it is late, it is worth reduced credit, and must be turned in by Friday at the latest or it won't be accepted.) Today we took notes on Logarithms and Exponents, so make sure you're up-to-date on that and any other old homeworks you owe me.

Monday, April 23, 2012

Geometry:
Complete the Volume and Surface Area packet handed out in today's class. Notes are available here.

Algebra 2:
Your Journals are due on Wednesday, so make sure you are working on them and planning your time appropriately. Due tomorrow is the packet on Solving Exponential Equations. Notes are available here.

Vacation Homework
Geometry:
If you're caught up, you have no homework for vacation.

Algebra 2:
You have a Journal that is due on Wednesday after we return from break. We will have time on Monday to ask questions about the Journal, but no "Journal Day" class to work on it. You should definitely get started this week, and come with questions about anything you're confused about for Monday.

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

Geometry:
I'll be out tomorrow, so please be good for the sub. No new homework, but tomorrow you'll be doing more origami or drawing 3D objects. If you have not given me your Journal or finished the quiz from last week, those things must be made up before vacation or they will not be worth any points.

Algebra 2:
I'll be out tomorrow, but make sure you turn in the graphing packet from Tuesday. Also, we have a quiz on Friday on exponential growth, decay, compound interest, and graphing.

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

Geometry:
The Journal is due tomorrow, please make sure you've finished it! Today we reviewed some important vocabulary about solids, and started a packet in class. You do not need to finish the packet for homework (your Journal is more important!) but I will be collecting it on Thursday.

Algebra 2:
We have no class tomorrow, due to the Variety Show. Due Thursday, please complete the packet on graphing exponential functions. The notes are available here.

Monday, April 09, 2012

Geometry:
Make sure you did the drawings from the notes (here's a blank notes page if needed). Please do the packet on Solid Shapes, due tomorrow. You have a Journal due on Wednesday. All Journals and make-up work on trigonometry must be done before vacation to be worth credit.

Algebra 2:
No new homework. Make sure you've finished and turned in all old work, particularly the word problem packet. We have a quiz on Thursday or Friday this week, which you must finish before vacation in order to be worth credit.

Thursday, April 05, 2012

Geometry:
No new homework, other than your Journal which is due on Wednesday, April 11th. If you miss the deadline, you must get it turned in before vacation or it will not be eligible for credit.

Algebra 2:
Due Monday, please do the Exponential Growth and Decay word problems. The notes from today are available here.

Wednesday, April 04, 2012

Geometry:
You have a Journal that is due next Wednesday. The Journal should be turned in before April Vacation in order to be worth credit, so please plan accordingly!

Geometry:
You have a quiz tomorrow! You may bring a notecard with important formulas if needed, so please make sure you work on that. Due on Wednesday is the packet on the Law of Cosines, but it's a good idea to start the first half tonight to help you study.

Algebra 2:
Please do the packet on verifying function inverses, for tomorrow. 7th period, please remember you will have a visitor in class tomorrow!
