Algebra 2: Do #1-20 in the Solving Quadratics packet. You should be comfortable with solving by taking square roots, and basic factoring.

Geometry: Your Journals are due tomorrow!

Pre-Calc: Finish up #15-18 in the vacation packet, now that you're better with complex roots.

Calculus: Section 6.1 #7-23 (odd) on antiderivatives.

Friday, February 18, 2011

Algebra 2: Complete the packet over Break. You may find a refresher on FOILing helpful.

Geometry: Complete the Journal over Break. These are actual questions from an actual MCAS exam, so make sure you show your work!

Pre-Calculus: Complete the packet on complex roots over Break.

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

Algebra 2: Be sure you are able to complete the translations, as you may see them on a future Celebration of knowledge.

Geometry: Finish the proof that we started in class today:
  • Given -- opposite angles in a quadrilateral are congruent
  • Prove -- the quadrilateral is a parallelogram
Pre-Calculus: Journal due Friday. Also, do Section 2.4 #33, 34, 53, 54 on the rational roots theorem.

Calculus: Journal (AP Questions)

Monday, February 14, 2011

Algebra 2: Make sure you've gone over your quiz results. If you are one of the people who Did Not Do So How (you know who you are) then you need to be working on the Yet More Graphing packet.

Geometry: Prove (or disprove) the statement "If a quadrilateral has 2 pairs of opposite angles congruent, then it is a parallelogram." You may certainly use a diagram to help you. Today's notes may be a good guide, although it's not the same exact proof. Also, make sure you don't lose the parallelogram practice packet, as we'll look at it again tomorrow.

Pre-Calc: Journal, due Friday.

Calculus: Start the Journal (AP) questions.

Friday, February 11, 2011

Algebra 2: Complete the Graphing Parabolas packet that was handed out in class.

Geometry: Prove (or disprove) one of the following statements. (You were assigned which one in class. If you can't remember which, pick B, C, or D)
(A) If a quadrilateral has 2 pairs of opposite sides that are congruent, then it is a parallelogram.
(B) If a quadrilateral has 2 pairs of opposite angles that are congruent, then it is a parallelogram.
(C) If a quadrilateral has consecutive angles that are always supplementary, then it is a parallelogram.
(D) If a quadrilateral has diagonals that bisect each other, then it is a parallelogram.

Pre-Calc: Start working on the Journal that is due next Friday.

Calculus: No new homework.

Thursday, February 10, 2011

Algebra 2: Quiz tomorrow on graphing transformations of functions. Be sure to study the packets we've been doing these last 2 weeks.
