Ali is out today. Here are the assignments you should be working on:

Algebra 2: Complete the practice packet on absolute value functions. Once you've read AND solved, go back and look at yesterday's graphing packet to graph the problems by hand. You'll need to be prepared on the quiz to graph both with and without a calculator. If you need even more practice, this worksheet is optional.

Geometry: Work on the new Journal assignment, that's due on Monday November 1st. Remember that we have a quiz in class tomorrow on finding missing angles in a variety of figures. The Journal is also good practice! You may work together. Remember to give a reason (keep it 1 sentence or less) for how you know the value of each angle.

Calculus: Section 3.6 #12-39 (3n).

Math Review: Work on your assignment from the folder on my desk.

Pre-Calculus: Use your textbook packet and the measures of spread handout from yesterday to calculate the standard deviation, variance, and mean deviation for each of the data sets given. I gave you tables to help you with the packet. You may certainly use calculators, but you may not rely on the graphing calculator's statistics functions....this is to be done by you!

Monday, October 25, 2010

Algebra 2: Start on the graphing packet handed out in class. Make sure you have a graphing calculator coming to class each day. We'll be continuing with the absolute value functions tomorrow.

Geometry: Quiz Wednesday on the angle rules we've been learning. Tonight do #1-9 on each side of the worksheet on slopes.

Pre-Calculus: Finish up the box-and-whisker plot on the packet we started today in class. We have a quiz on Wednesday.

Calculus: Section 3.6 QR1-5, #1-8 on the chain rule.

Friday, October 22, 2010

Algebra 2: Finish up the worksheet on piecewise functions this weekend.

Geometry: Make sure you're capable of finding missing angles in a figure, both for triangles and figures with parallel lines. Yesterday we had a Pizzazz packet, today we had a non-Pizzazz packet as practice. If you're doing this consistently, you have no homework. IF you need more practice, you should be finishing these packets as practice.
